Save Church Meadow Playing Fields For Sports In Hounslow

In 2004 Hounslow Council advertised the derelict Church Meadow / Sutton Lane site for redevelopment. Since then Indian Gymkhana has expressed an interest, but discussions didn’t progress. Four years later Indian Gymkhana got back in touch with Hounslow Council to request assistance in redeveloping the site. A year later the Council was reviewing options for the site, which in the meantime had been leased to Saint Mark’s School. Since 2011/12 Indian Gymkhanas plans have apparently been with the Legal and Property Departments.

Every year that passes without an outcome is another year when children of the borough have less chance to play sports than they otherwise would, and another year that a historic sports ground lies derelict.
